magyarországi ősbemutató
Heiner Müller rewrote Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus at the beginning of the 80’s. In his play he included also issues of world politics of that time. This version of Titus Andronicus illustrates the inconsequential, strident and gratuitous politics which has no regard for personal emotions, does not mince, but it achieves its goal like a predator. The play does not enounce an opinion, but it elevates a situation and it draws a monumental tableau in which neither side represents those eternal ideals in which sometimes humanity believes. The Hungarian premiere of the play promises to be a revelation.
